where do our logs come from?

At LOGTASTIC we process wood that is produced as part of active woodland management such as thinning to give strong trees more space; or selective felling to remove types of trees that are not native to the area making way for the trees that should be there and that will be more helpful to local wildlife.

We also process wood from trees that have been felled for reasons of health and safety and the management of recreational spaces used by people.

We only use British grown timber. Most of our wood comes from North West England and North Wales. We split and stack timber in billets to season before cutting them into the best length for your fire or log burning stove typically around 6, 9, 12 or 18 inches or 15, 22.5, 30 or 45 cms.
