are logs good value fuel?

At the time of writing (June 2009) we were paying 11.483 pence per kWh to our electricity supplier plus standing charges.

Burning our seasoned logs, which generally have a moisture content of around 25%, produces heat at a retail price of between 6.4 and 9.4 pence per kWh depending on the number of bags you buy.
